Anyone who pays below $100 a night and rates such a great place less than 5 stars doesn’t have his head screwed on right. The price/quality in this place was AMAZING. Staff was unbelievably kind, helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious, very convenient and had all the amenities necessary (some were better than in Hilton in SF for which I usually pay 4x-5x as much a night). Breakfast, while following a typical continental motel breakfast format, has a great selection of things to eat and drink, including vegan and vegetarian options. Premises are a little dated, but I attribute it to the overall charm of Ely. Icing on a cake - they let you stay with your pet free of charge!! Long story short - if you wanna spend a night in this charming town (and you should), don’t look any further than Magnuson Hotel Park Vue!!!
Cheap clean and comfortable and that's all I ever need. The only downside is I have yet to see breakfast available even though it says it's included.
Incredible customer service They were so accommodating start to finish. The price was excellent for what I needed and with what I was given. Donna was so kind to me in my situation (my car broke down and got towed into town late at night). The room had everything I needed. Water was hot, bed was VERY comfy, had all the soaps I could ask for, and more. The free breakfast was delicious. Cold continental (English muffins, toast, heated up waffles, heated up breakfast sandwich, fruit, yogurt, coffee, etc). Would recommend this to anyone stopping by overnight or even staying a little bit longer in Ely!
Being that we are senior citizens, the technology is going too fast for us. We did not book a room online, but the manager was so helpful to us and gave us the rate quoted online, plus a military discount. Such wonderful customer service is hard to find. I highly recommend this establishment in Ely, Nevada.
The table was wobbly and they didn't have a microwave in the room. These were our only drawbacks. We would return because of the front desk clerks are very nice, room was very clean and comfortable, nice water temp and pressure, and quiet.
Quick stop on a long drive between San Diego and Boise. Can tell it was a small town as I rolled in at 10:15pm and an envelope with my name on it was taped to the lobby door. Room furnishings were dated but I was not expecting much for $53/night. Room was very clean. I hit the road at 7am but lobby was not open yet but coffee in the room was all I needed. Good bed and was great for a quick sleep
Five star motel at this price. The staff hustled to check me in after hours. They even opened up the room and turned the heater on before I was able to get to it. Everything in the room was clean and comfortable. I was able to back my truck up to the door for easy loading and unloading and security. And there was a nice simple breakfast laid out with toast and juice.
We were traveling from California to Denver. The front office staff was great, the room clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. This place is not fancy but was just what we needed to get a good night’s sleep as we headed to Denver.
